Celebrating Diversity, Inclusion and Allyship in Research

Last week, the WeatherGenerator project brought people together for two inspiring online workshops dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and building more supportive research communities.

On October 28, WeatherGenerator team members took part in an interactive, hands-on workshop focused on inclusive teamwork, recognizing implicit biases, diversity challenges and active allyship.

On October 29, we opened the discussion to a wider audience, celebrating diversity among scientists in machine learning, HPC and weather and climate science. Through inspiring talks and discussions, participants explored gender and diversity in research, shared experiences, and strengthened professional networks.

Both workshops highlighted an important message: diversity makes our research communities stronger, but creating an inclusive environment requires active commitment and support from all of us.
